2020 CAT Town Hall: Hurricanes and Hospitality – Assessing the Impact
Recorded live on September 16, 2020
Our CAT Response 2020 Town Hall series continues our portrayal of a fictitious island and how a particular hotel was impacted by the recent hurricane. This blended hotel case study explores – from the standpoint of adjusting and claims accounting – both the common and unexpected challenges of managing hospitality disruption due to a hurricane event.
Learn from our panelists’ experience in claims accounting and adjusting for some of the major catastrophes in recent history (Katrina, Harvey, oil spills, 9/11, and claims related to social unrest in 2020), along with their extensive experience with high-rise and mid-rise hotels.
