As an armored car guard was in the process of servicing an ATM inside of a convenience store, an unidentified subject snatched a bag of cash and fled the scene. No injuries were reported, and the suspect was later arrested.

An armored car guard was removing deposits from an ATM when a suspect approached him and sprayed him with mace. The suspect then grabbed a bag of cash and fled. The guard grabbed some of the cash and fired a shot at the suspect, who escaped.

Two 17-year-olds have been arrested and charged with aggravated robbery and organized crime. Authorities believe that they were involved in a December 20, 2024, attack on an armored truck outside of a grocery store. Officials with FBI Houston dubbed the suspects in that attack the ‘Scrooge Sprayers’ because they sprayed the truck courier in the face with an unknown substance to debilitate him during the attack. Both suspects are also connected to a January 23 bank heist in West Houston which led to their arrests.
