An attempted armored car robbery occurred outside of a Blue Island bank. Several shots were fired but no injuries were reported. One of the suspects dropped a firearm during the escape.

An unidentified suspect approached an armored car guard outside of a southwest-side bank. Armed with a handgun, the suspect first demanded cash before suddenly firing shots into both guard’s legs, causing critical injuries. The suspect then fled the scene.

Three suspects have been arrested in connection with the November 15th robbery of an armored car outside of a Katy Asian Town H-Mart. Darius Alexander, 29; Amon Alexander, 22; and Willie Earl Boyd, 33, were arrested without incident approximately one month after the $90k cash theft.
