Authorities arrested and charged two 17-year-olds with aggravated robbery and organized crime. Investigators believe they attacked an armored truck outside a grocery store on December 20, 2024. FBI Houston officials named them the ‘Scrooge Sprayers’ after they sprayed the truck courier in the face with an unknown substance to debilitate him. Investigators also connected both suspects to a January 23 bank heist in West Houston, which led to their arrests.
As an armored car guard was in the process of servicing an ATM inside of a convenience store, an unidentified subject snatched a bag of cash and fled the scene. No injuries were reported, and the suspect was later arrested.
An armored car guard was removing deposits from an ATM when a suspect approached him and sprayed him with mace. The suspect then grabbed a bag of cash and fled. The guard grabbed some of the cash and fired a shot at the suspect, who escaped.
A suspect armed with a rifle and wearing a ski mask and military-style fatigues held a Brinks driver at gunpoint outside of a Chase Bank branch and stole an undisclosed sum of cash before fleeing the scene.
